Headless Drupal?

Here at Birdeye, we often use a Web development technique known as “headless Drupal.” Yes, it’s a funny name. And while we won’t get into the technical aspects of this design tactic today, it is worth providing a brief explanation as to how this funny-sounding technique helps us create a better website for your company.

First, headless Drupal allows for improved cross-platform development. Essentially, this makes it significantly easier to create a website that will function equally well on both desktop and mobile devices—and unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last few years, you know how important mobile Web browsing has become. By using headless Drupal, websites are also able to load much more quickly, which further improves the user experience and improves your site ranking on Google and other search engines.

The use of Drupal 8 software (with Rest API built into its core) makes it easy for us to implement headless Drupal to achieve these important benefits and help your website reach a broader audience. While headless Drupal means that not all Drupal modules can be fully utilized, our custom development capabilities ensure that your website experiences all of the benefits of headless Drupal development, without the drawbacks.
